On our scoring, Agnadio — a hilltop taverna above Skiathos Town with a panorama over the harbour and the airport, rated 4.8 on Google and 4.7 on Tripadvisor. It combines genuinely good Greek cooking with the best view on the island and has not inflated its prices to match.

In July and August, yes, for the hillside and view restaurants — Agnadio, Scala, Marmita, The Final Step and The Windmill in particular need reserving days ahead.
