Nectar & Ambrosia (Troulos) in full
This is the Troulos branch, and it should not be confused with the Skiathos Town restaurant of the same name β they are separate operations and currently rate quite differently. The Troulos site sits near the bus stop with views out over the valley.
It closed for two years and has reopened under new owners who, by the account of nearly every recent review, are making a real effort to revive it. That effort is showing in the numbers: 4.8 on Tripadvisor and a rank of #7 of 298, which is exceptional even on a modest review base of 105.
The food is traditional Greek done well, with moussaka and the meze for two the most-recommended orders. Staff wear traditional Grecian outfits and are repeatedly described as super friendly and accommodating, with reviewers saying they were made to feel at home β the warmth is the thing people write about most.
The caveat is simply the sample size. A hundred reviews is enough to be meaningful but not enough to be certain, and new ownership means there is no long track record to lean on. On current evidence, though, this is one of the best-value dinners on the island.
