Banana beach

Banana is five to ten minutes over the headland from the Koukounaries bus terminus, stop 26, on a dirt path that forks. There is no separate bus stop. Big Banana has full watersports; Little Banana is the island's naturist beach. The sand shelves quickly. Every food and drink operation here belongs to the Elivi estate.

Frequently asked questions

Is there anywhere to eat at Banana beach?

Yes — one venue: Nest Greek Fish Restaurant. The sit-down fish taverna at the Big Banana end of the Elivi estate — and the only Elivi restaurant open for lunch as well as dinner.

Do you need cash at Banana beach?

Cards are generally accepted here, but remoter Skiathos beaches are often cash only and terminals fail where there is no signal. Carrying euros is sensible anywhere on the island.

How do you get to Banana beach?

Banana is served by the island road network and, on the south and west coasts, by the local bus. Venue pages record the nearest bus stop where one is known.
