Kolios beach

Kolios is a deep bay at bus stop 14, sheltered by wooded headlands on both sides. It shelves gently, so it is safe for small children, and the south coast stays calm in the meltemi. No nightclubs and no big resorts. Five places to eat, including three beach bars at three different price points.

1 · €€€ · Mediterranean · Seafood

Infinity Blue Restaurant 8.8/10

A family-run restaurant above Kolios beach with a view that lives up to the name and a genuinely large menu of fresh fish and modernised Greek cooking.

Watch out: Pricier than the beach-taverna average
2 · €€ · Beach bar · Beach

Andreas' Beach Bar 8.6/10

The middle of Kolios bay's three beach bars, and the one reviewers repeatedly call the friendliest and most authentic.

Watch out: No ratings of its own — reviews sit under the beach listing
3 · €€ · Taverna · Beach

Taverna Kolios 8.2/10

A traditional taverna directly on Kolios beach, best known for its grilled sardines, taking bookings through its own site.

Watch out: Opens 14:30 — no morning service
4 · €€€ · Beach club · Beach

The Beach House 7.8/10

The upmarket end of Kolios bay — tuna carpaccio and sunset views, with sunbeds at around €30 a day.

Watch out: Sunbeds ~€30/day
5 · €€ · Taverna · Beach

Kolios Bay Taverna 6.6/10

A terrace over Kolios bay with a good outlook and a weak record. Included so the beach's three options can be judged against each other.

Watch out: Rated 3.3, ranked #266 of 299
