Porto Paradiso in full

Porto Paradiso took over an older taverna on Vromolimnos in 2000 and rebuilt it as a modern beach club: sunbeds, wooden decks with comfortable seating, dedicated dining areas and bartenders making cocktails. It has been in the same family ownership for over forty years across both incarnations.

As a place to spend a day it is genuinely one of the more attractive setups on the island, on one of the best beaches, and the Greek Gastronomy Guide rates it as one of the more interesting venues on Skiathos.

The eating is where it comes unstuck. Tripadvisor has it at 3.4 with a rank of #213 of 298 — one of the lowest figures in this guide — against a considerably kinder 4.2 on Google. That gap is large, and the critical reviews line up with the wider complaints about Vromolimnos generally: commercialised, expensive for what arrives, and slow when busy.

Our read matches the Vromolimnos beach entry: come for the sand, the water and a cocktail on a deck, and set your expectations for the kitchen accordingly.
