Octopus occupies the original Achladies taverna site — trading there since the 1970s — restyled with 1960s Greek glamour and modern boho-chic design. It is run by Nick, Thomas and Ermis, directly on the sand at Achladies, about five kilometres from town at bus stop 9.
It runs a long day: coffee and brunch from 09:00, food from 12:00 to 22:30, drinks until 02:00. The cooking is Mediterranean with a seafood focus — grilled octopus, shrimp risotto, seafood linguine.
An identity note that needs flagging: one forum thread states that Paradise Taverna at Achladies reopened as Octopus. If that is correct, our separate Achladies entry covering Paradise, Rose Garden and Perigali describes a business that no longer trades under that name.
